Abstract

Social management is a key component for strengthening internal cohesion and aligning the collective goals of charitable organizations with the needs of their communities. This research analyzes the role of social management and its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals at the La Florida Association, located in the Junín canton. A mixed-method, descriptive research methodology was used, conducting semi-structured interviews with the organization's executives and using tools such as the SDG Compass and a weighting formula based on the 2030 Agenda. The results show significant progress in five SDGs, with a 100% achievement rate, and in four others, with percentages above 70%, reflecting a moderate progress. However, critical areas were identified in SDGs 10, 7, 17, and 14, with compliance levels below 20. This suggests that the articulation between social management and the SDGs in the Association is under development, highlighting the need to strengthen the planning, monitoring, and evaluation mechanisms for its actions in support of sustainable development.
