The SmartKids web environment program corresponds to a model based on interactive and learning processes that include didactic tools and techniques that teachers must master in order to teach online classes. The purpose of the scientific article was to determine to what extent the SmartKids web environment program significantly improves the digital competencies of high school teachers. For this purpose, a methodology based on the positivist paradigm was used, under a quantitative approach, supported by a field research with a descriptive level. The population consisted of 215 teachers from public schools in Guayaquil, while the sample consisted of 30 teachers. The data collection technique was the survey and its instrument was the digital questionnaire. The results showed that the SmartKids web environment program significantly improves the digital competencies of teachers, demonstrating that after the application of the program, 80% (24) of the teachers obtained a high level of digital competency.
