Video and digital animation of a social nature aimed at the Prevention of Landslides

Abstract

Ecuador is one of the countries with the highest probability of occurrence of natural disasters, both due to its vulnerable conditions and the frequent manifestations of intense geological, geomorphological and hydrometeorological phenomena. The objective of the study is to design a video with animation on the actions to be taken in case of a landslide in the community of Gatazo Chico in the province of Chimborazo. Feasible project developed under a positivist methodology, with a mixed perspective, under a non-experimental design, being a field research with a descriptive level. The study population consisted of students from second grade to seventh grade of the Unidad Educativa Fiscal 15 de Agosto of the city of Riobamba, and the sample consisted of 20 students of this institution. The data collection technique was the interview and the survey and its instrument was the questionnaire. Statistical analysis was used as the data analysis technique. In conclusion, due to the location of the school in a mountainous area, it is necessary to develop audiovisual material to support and reinforce the objective of the study.
