A multivariate perspective in higher education in the covid-19 pandemic and the challenges on digital skills

The study of the perspective that higher education has played in the times of the Covid 19 pandemic, aims to establish the different perspectives of the variants of higher education in the Covid 19 pandemic and the challenges on digital skills. Being used for this purpose a methodology based on field research, presenting a descriptive level. Therefore, the population and sample consisted of 22 teachers and 185 students from the State University of Milagro. The data collection technique used was the survey and direct observation, as an instrument the questionnaire and the notebook were used. The analysis technique of the results was descriptive statistics. Among the results, it was determined that teachers were forced to migrate significantly to the use of digital tools, lacking in many cases the necessary training. While the students felt more comfortable changing the traditional way of receiving classes for the use of digital tools. Among the conclusions, the need for a training process for teachers on the use of digital tools in their teaching role was established.
