Information For Authors
Are you interested in publishing in the journal? It is recommended to review the About the Journal page to consult the journal's section policies, as well as the Author Guidelines. Authors must register with the journal before publishing or, if already registered, they can simply log in and begin the five-step process.
Prohominum is a space for the promotion and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the UNESCO Areas: Education and Social Sciences.
Your proposals can cover a wide range of original formats, including original research, literature reviews, technological development reports, scientific essays, as well as model and innovation proposals.
To submit your manuscript, you should consider the following general aspects:
- The journal accepts proposals throughout the year, in line with our quarterly periodicity. Prohominum DOES NOT publish special issues and has no plans to change its current frequency of publishing the edited issue every three months a year.
- Manuscripts should have a maximum similarity of 10%. (only generic phrases or words)
- A minimum of 20 references. More than 60% of them should be from the last 5 years.
- A minimum of twelve (12) and a maximum of twenty (20) pages, including references. For the theoretical support of your research and proposals, we recommend using citations from articles indexed in recognized databases: Latindex, Scielo, Web of Science (WoS), DOAJ or Scopus.

- Up to four (4) authors per article. If there are more than four authors, they must provide proof from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), research centers, networks, or related institutions that support the participation of the researchers according to the research line and the scope of the project.
- Up to two (2) institutional affiliations can be included. (primary and additional)
- If the articles involve activities in a specific organization, they must provide institutional consent for the proposed research and the dissemination of its results.
- The process time will depend on the order of arrival of the proposals and the topic addressed. We remain committed to optimizing response times, according to established processes.

APCs (Article Processing Charges):
Starting in February 2024, our journal applies APCs (Article Processing Charges) only in articles accepted for publication. This is to maintain the scientific rigor that characterizes us through technological updates, human talent, scientific quality policies, and open access to all our content.
The APCs amount is 350 USD per article. It must be paid upon issuance of your acceptance letter in the relevant modalities. The details for sending will be provided upon meeting the requirements of the editorial process.
APC Waiver Policy:
APCs will be waived for professionals and students with research activities and permanent residence in the following countries: Venezuela, Argentina, Cuba, and Haiti, considering minimum income criteria according to CEPAL 2024, subject to annual review. Additionally, researchers residing in countries listed as least developed by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD): https://unctad.org/topic/least-developed-countries/list or based on criteria established within the framework of inter-institutional agreements with ACVENISPROH, for professionals and students with limited economic resources with scientific proposals.
