This study was structured as a systematic review of the scientific literature on digital culture and perceptions of cyberbullying among university students. The purpose was to analyze the relationship between digital culture and perceptions of cyberbullying among university students in Ecuador. In accordance with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, 25 articles published between 2020 and 2025 were selected from indexed databases (Scopus, Web of Science, Springer, and Scielo), prioritizing empirical and theoretical evidence that addressed the phenomenon in educational contexts. The results revealed that digital culture is a structural axis for understanding new forms of symbolic and emotional violence mediated by connectivity and exposure. Student perceptions evidenced the fragmentation of ethics and digital coexistence, where media literacy, emotional regulation, and social pressure determine tolerance or reporting of cyberbullying. From a psychological perspective, the correlation between cyberbullying, anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation was confirmed, accentuated by the absence of institutional strategies and support. Finally, a regulatory gap was identified in the Ecuadorian legal framework which limits the classification of digital harassment and the construction of safe environments.
