Procedures manual for the production process of the company Hilanderías Unidas S.A.

Abstract

The Procedure Manuals serve as support in the follow-up of the daily tasks that are performed in an organization and thus comply with the tasks established with an outstanding administration of the entire entity. In this sense, the objective of this article is to propose a Procedures Manual for the production process of the company Hilanderías Unidas S.A. For this purpose, the study was framed in a mixed approach, descriptive - explanatory - propositive. The population under study consisted of 41 workers in the area of the company Hiunsa S.A., taking the entire population as a sample. The data collection technique used was the survey, interview and non-participatory observation. The instruments were the questionnaire and the observation guide. The results showed that 78% of the collaborators do not have knowledge of the activities of the production process, 29% do not have the flow of the production process explained to them and 59% of the collaborators think that there should be a manual to improve the production process, coinciding with the results of the interview and observation. Therefore, there is a need to design a procedures manual detailing the processes to be followed, in this case the process flows, the stages of production in order to ensure good production and responsibility on the part of the company and the operators in charge of the operational area.
