Importance of research in the educational field of higher education

Abstract

Research is the transverse axis of higher education, especially scientific research in the different scenarios of science, constituting a fundamental pillar for the contribution to the quality of life and well-being of people, in addition to the training of new professionals. with a view to working in research areas. The objective is to describe the importance of research in the educational field of higher education. The applied methodology is related to the documentary study, of a monographic type. It is a qualitative-descriptive and exploratory type of research through the bibliographic review concerning the descriptors. Within the results found, it is determined that research is an activity that generates the development of skills for intellectual work and knowledge and through these the students analyze, know and transform their reality, that is, they build their knowledge, change and they transform realities. The finding or discovery based on knowledge to generate more knowledge, and as a contribution is the promotion and dissemination of the findings, to provide answers to the demands of global nature to the requirements of societies. That is why research is transcendental in the field of higher education.
