In recent years, Venezuelan education has been highly criticized, either by the methods used by the teacher to teach or the way he learns and the way the student is perceived in society. Hence, this research was intended to understand the gnoseological vision of teacher planning by areas of knowledge in the U.E.N. “Maestro Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa” in Aragua state Girardot Municipality (Venezuela). Methodologically, it was supported by postpositivist epistemology, with a qualitative approach and the dialectical hermeneutical method. We worked with five institutions’ teachers. The survey was used with the modality of the in-depth interview for the collection of the
information. The categorization, structuring and triangulation were applied. As the results, the informants agreed that planning by areas of knowledge is a good way to organize learning, but that they lack much to learn, since they have weaknesses in making the integration. In conclusion, it was revealed that teachers have an episteme in relation to theory, but do not put into practice what they know.
