Briefing y debriefing como momentos de reflexión previa y posterior en la educación dental basada en simulación: revisión integrative

Introducción: La educación dental basada en simulación aproxima a los estudiantes a situaciones clínicas, comunicacionales y procedimentales en ambientes controlados. Aunque el briefing y el debriefing forman parte de estas experiencias, suelen describirse como fases operativas, con menor desarrollo de su función reflexiva. Objetivo: Analizar el briefing y el debriefing como momentos de reflexión previa y posterior en la educación dental basada en simulación, a partir de la literatura científica disponible. Método: Se realizó una revisión integrativa a través de la búsqueda en Scopus de los años 2019-2026, de publicaciones en español e inglés. De los 256 registros encontrados, 44 fueron seleccionados. El proceso de organización de la información se realizó a través de la extracción de datos, evaluación crítica cualitativa y síntesis integrativa. Resultados: Se establecieron 3 categorías: briefing (reflexión previa), debriefing (reflexión posterior) y articulación briefing-simulación-debriefing (secuencia pedagógica). El debriefing mostró mayor desarrollo que el briefing. Conclusiones: El briefing y debriefing aumenta la dimensión reflexiva de la simulación dental, y necesita una descripción más precisa en las experiencias educativas.
