Intervención psicoeducativa para fomentar la actitud crítica frente al consumo simbólico: Consideraciones metodológicas para un ensayo clínico en niños

Resumen

Introducción: En la salud mental, tanto la elección de alimentos como el hábito alimentario en niños están influenciadas por factores emocionales, conductuales y sociales. Desde la perspectiva psicoeducativa el consumo simbolizado socialmente y el razonamiento analógico dependen del contexto sociocultural de aprendizaje mediado por los padres, profesores y amigos del niño. Por tanto, modificar las actitudes de consumo de un producto simbolizado requiere de intervenciones basadas en evidencias. Objetivo: Describir las consideraciones conceptuales y metodológicas para una intervención psicoeducativa orientada a fomentar el consumo crítico de yogur en niños de nueve años. Materiales y métodos: Es una revisión documental donde se sintetiza la información de fuentes secundarias para describir las consideraciones metodológicas de una intervención psicoeducativa en niños de nueve años. Resultados: Tanto las consideraciones conceptuales como metodológicas descritas en este estudio ayudaron desarrollar un protocolo de ensayo clínico con intervención psicoeducativa de cinco etapas para que los niños puedan a) comprender la intensión persuasiva de la publicidad, b) tomar conciencia de la presión social de los amigos y, c) adoptar actitud crítica en el consumo de yogur. Conclusiones: Este trabajo sintetiza las consideraciones conceptuales y metodológicas para desarrollar un protocolo de ensayo clínico con intervención psicoeducativa para fomentar el consumo crítico de yogur en niños. El trabajo tiene implicancias metodológicas y éticas para mejorar la validez y fiabilidad de resultados en estudios experimentales sobre cambios de comportamiento en niños.
