Abstract

Literacy is an elementary competence for knowledge and connection in today’s society. A dynamic society, whose growth is accelerated by changes in educational formats, which require teachers of this time to apply new digital, didactic and pedagogical resources for the development of cognitive abilities, emotional, organizational-group, creative, for critical thinking and assertive and effective responses. The objective was to analyze the use of technological platforms in literacy to determine the level of cognitive development in the eighth year of basic general education students of the Monsignor Juan Wiesneth Educational Unit. Methodology; It consists of a study of the qualitative-quantitative type, which involves the bibliographic review of descriptors related to the topic. The survey technique is used and the selected instrument is the questionnaire. As a result, students were linked to new digital study methodologies. However, for the period 2020 - 2021 it was observed that there are multiple digital tools and ignorance of them. In conclusion, education has always been in constant evolution and we must be at the forefront of it with the support of digital platforms and advanced technological resources
