Introduction: Overtourism's negative effects on the environment, health emergencies like COVID-19, and safety in developing countries pose threats to tourism, which is a major force behind the world economy. The purpose of this paper is to assess the literature on sustainable management, crisis management, and visitor health and physical safety that has been published recently, as well as the suggested preventive measures in the tourism industry. Finding trends, assessing the approach, and developing new tactics are the goals. Materials and Procedures: Open access and academic repositories yielded 17 research papers, including scientific articles and theses. The defense-related ideas and their effects on the tourist and health sectors were examined using a narrative assessment. Result: Preventive measures worked; biosecurity protocols boosted visitor confidence and recovered tourist visits; environmental impacts were minimized; safety protocol adherence raised satisfaction; crisis management decreased recovery time and expenses; and in post-conflict scenarios, social risks declined and visits rose. Conclusions: International cooperation, local governance and regulation, and constant vigilance are all necessary for preventive tactics, which are essential for risk management in resilient and safe tourism.
