Abstract

Introduction: For public health, knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) taken by pregnant women play a fundamental role in research, since it facilitates the identification of needs, priorities and risk factors that predispose to developing hypertensive disorders. in pregnant women Objective: To validate the instruments to determine the knowledge and attitudes about the risk factors that determine the development of hypertensive disorders in pregnant women in the Cantón el Triunfo. Materials and methods: A descriptive, non-experimental cross-sectional study was carried out, since it is desired to know based on a sample, demonstrating knowledge, attitudes and practices about risk factors for developing hypertensive disorders in pregnant women, through 2 analysis components: Qualitative and quantitative. A pilot test was used to establish the validity, relevance and coherence, to determine the degree of reliability of the instruments designed by expert judgments. 24 randomly selected pregnant people were surveyed and willing to participate in the research. Results: For the validation the Result: BEM1 and GEAM1 Quantitative instrument has a validity of 99%; 99% relevance; coherence of 97.3% giving a total of 295.3; It has a reliability of 98.4%. The qualitative instrument has a validity of 96.6%; Relevance of 96.6%; coherence of 96.6% giving a total of 289.8; It has a reliability of 96.6%. Conclusion: The instrument has been approved for its reliability and validity, being suitable to be applied to the sample that appears in the investigation. The knowledge, attitudes and practices are transformed into behaviors or lifestyles of the population and how they are faced through individual and collective behaviors.
