MasVita constitutes a space for the promotion and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the Health Sciences.

Its proposals can encompass a wide range of unpublished formats, including original research, bibliographic reviews, technological development reports, scientific essays, as well as model and innovation proposals.

To submit your manuscript, you should consider the following general aspects:

  • The journal accepts proposals throughout the year, corresponding to our quarterly periodicity. MasVita DOES NOT publish special editions and does not plan to change its current frequency of publishing one issue every three months.
  • Manuscripts should have a maximum similarity of 10% (only generic phrases or words).
  • A minimum of 20 references is required. It is suggested that more than 60% of them be from the last 5 years.
  • Manuscripts should be a minimum of twelve (12) and a maximum of twenty (20) pages, including references.

  • Up to four (4) authors per article are allowed. In the case of a higher number, authors must provide documentation from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), research centers, networks, or affiliated institutions, supporting the participation of the researchers in accordance with the research line and the scope of the project.
  • Up to two (2) institutional affiliations can be included (primary and additional).
  • If the articles involve activities in a specific organization, institutional consent for the development of the proposed research and the dissemination of its results must be provided.
  • The process time will depend on the order of arrival of the proposals and the topic addressed. We remain committed to optimizing response times according to established processes.

APCs (Article Processing Charges):

As of February 2024, our journal applies APCs (Article Processing Charges) only for articles accepted for publication. This is to maintain the scientific thoroughness that characterizes us through technological updates, human talent, scientific quality policies, and open access to all our content.

The APC value is 350 USD per article. It must be paid upon issuance of the acceptance letter in the relevant modalities. Payment details will be provided upon fulfilling the editorial process requirements.

APC Waiver Policy:

APCs will be waived for professionals and students with research activities and permanent residence in the following countries: Venezuela, Argentina, Cuba, and Haiti, based on minimum economic income criteria according to CEPAL 2024, subject to annual review. Likewise, researchers residing in countries listed as least developed nations by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD): https://unctad.org/topic/least-developed-countries/list or based on criteria established within the framework of inter-institutional agreements with ACVENISPROH, for professionals and students with limited economic resources and scientific proposals.
