Validation of instruments to determine the social health factors that influenced abortions in adolescents of the cases treated at the Basic Hospital of Daule in the year 2019-2020

Abstract

Introduction: Pregnancy and abortion in adolescents are events dating back in history for many centuries, abortion being a form of birth control in the Middle Ages; At present it continues to be a subject of great discussion and criteria expressed among religious, political and governmental groups in regard to its legalization and permission; by the will of the woman and with greater interference, in adolescents. Objective: To validate the quantitative and qualitative instruments that will allow us to measure the social determinants of health that influenced abortions in adolescents of the cases treated at the Basic Hospital of Daule, in the year 2019-2020. Materials and methods: Mixed, quantitative and qualitative research. Field type, cross-sectional, evaluative type; non-experimental design. The population is made up of 20 adolescents attended in 2019. Results: The qualitative instrument yielded an average reliability based on Cronbach's alpha of 0.94, which positions it as "Very reliable" Conclusion: The results show that the instrument is suitable, reliable and valid to measure the social factors of health that influenced abortions in adolescents of the cases treated at the Basic Hospital of Daule, in the year 2019-2020
