Abstract

Introduction: Currently there are several investigations related to the congenital heart disease, but there are no updated studies of instruments that are are validated by expert judgment that help measure the level of knowledge about this pathology. Objective: Formulate and validate an instrument that to determine the level of knowledge that parents have about heart disease congenital Materials and Methods: This research is field, with a focus quantitative, non-experimental, prospective, cross-sectional, with a scope descriptive; A pilot test was carried out by executing a survey in a sample made up of 15 parents of children with congenital heart disease, who were randomly selected. Results: Among the main results, obtained that the elaborated instrument presents a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.9 equivalent to excellent reliability. Conclusion: The instrument has been approved by judgment of experts based on its validity, relevance and coherence, being applicable for the research data collection.
