Abstract

The implementation of an organizational structure together with functional manuals is of great importance because it is a guide to better develop the functions of each position and to appropriate a good working environment in the company. The objective of this article is to present the proposal of an Organizational Manual based on the problems that occur internally in the company Distribuidora Farmacéutica Manabí S.A. The research was descriptive, explanatory, with mixed methods. The techniques used were the survey, interview and observation. The instruments used were the questionnaire, the questionnaire script and the observation form. The population consisted of all the workers of the company, being these 12 employees. The most relevant results showed 100% that the company does not have an organization or functions manual, 75% of the informants were of the opinion that the administrative functions are not fulfilled, 13 respondents indicated that the existence of an organization manual within the company is very important, indicating positively 75%. In conclusion, there is a need to design an organizational manual that defines functions, lines of authority and responsibility, and to redesign the organizational chart with profiles according to each area of the company.
